INT 1070 - Foundations of Leadership3 cr Foundations of Leadership helps students to understand, appreciate and reflect on their position in the communities to which they belong, and to learn to foster change in those communities. The course offers a survey of leadership theory and, more prominently, leadership training in the individual, group, and civic skills necessary to develop as leaders capable of significant civic work. The course approaches leadership through an interdisciplinary problem-based method, organizing our discussions and course activities around the students’ development of a community-based, civic-engagement project. Throughout the semester, the students will work in teams to develop projects that will be implemented at the end of the term. Fall
