CHE 3015 - Biochemistry Laboratory3 cr This course is intended to introduce students to some of the most widely used experimental procedures in biochemistry, including protein purification and characterization, enzyme assays and kinetics, and DNA isolation and manipulation. In the process students will also gain familiarity with some of the types of equipment frequently used in biochemistry, and an introduction to modern analytical approaches, such as high throughput analysis of protein samples by mass spectrometry.
