NUR 4025 - Care of Childbearing and Childrearing Families8 cr Nursing care of the childbearing family focuses on the nursing care of families during the childbearing phase of the life cycle- from preconception through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. The course focuses on normal and high-risk pregnancy and each phase of the childbearing period. Nursing care of the childrearing family introduces students to caring for children as they grow and develop within a family system. Discussion focuses on commonly occurring physiological disruptions in childhood, from infancy to adolescence. Learning experiences include the classroom, Virtual Hospital, and inpatient and ambulatory settings. Prerequisite: NUR 3065 , NUR 3070 and NUR 3075 with grades of B- or better. Co-requisite: NUR 4030 Fee of $414 for ATI services. Fall
