ESL 3010 - Teaching English as a Second Language in a Cross Cultural Context3 cr This course is designed for the teaching of English as a second language to limited or non-English speaking immigrants. Participants in this course will examine current policies of public schools in the education of such students, examine appropriate E.S.L. methodologies; identify cultural factors and linguistic points of difficulty for Spanish-speaking and Indo-Chinese learners; and exiting criteria from public school E.S.L. programs.
