ENG 3660 - Myth and Folk Tales3 cr This course is an intensive study of predominantly Western myths and folk tales. The course also examines the oral, literary, cultural, folkloric, historical, psychological, archetypal, and philosophical components of folk tales, as well as tale variants-from different cultures or as adapted to other literary genres such as the short story and poetry. This course fulfills the Aesthetic Understanding or World Views Frame of Reference. Prerequisite: Highly recommended: ENG 1310 . Spring, even years
