MUS 1280 - Applied Music - Jazz Piano

The purpose of Applied Music is to prepare students for either a performance career, mastery of an instrument in preparation for teaching, or advanced graduate study in music. In addition to the practice and preparation required for weekly lessons, students are required to attend recitals and concerts sponsored by or as designated by the department. Students are required to perform in recitals, and prepare juried examinations and proficiency examinations. This course may be repeated for credit. This course may NOT be added or dropped after the second week of classes.
