   |  GLB 1010 - Introduction to Global Studies3 crThis course employs multidisciplinary perspectives to introduce students to concepts, issues, theories and methodologies that assist the student to attain a better understanding of the meaning and significance of the historical and contemporary processes of globalization. Topics covered include: the global economy; global dimensions of environmentalism; international and global institutions; the changing role of the nation state; and the interaction between local, national, regional and global culture and social patterns.
 This course fulfills a Humanistic Perspective general education requirement.
