MAT 2025 - Business Analytics3 cr This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of business analytics to the undergraduate students; the major focus is on business applications and decisions making using data analysis with emphasis on data visualization and summarization with data modeling. This interdisciplinary approach is utilized to maximize information for making critical Business decisions. The cohesion of statistics, computer science and business are paramount for students to develop the core skills necessary to confront the challenging field of data analytics. A key lesson of the course is that an important success factor for (big) data analytics projects is to have a good balance between creative customization and codified, reproducible and reusable end-to-end analytics processes ("solutions"). We will discuss applications of data analytics in a wide range of business cases, from Finance, to Marketing, to Operations among others. Prerequisite: Complete MAT 1221 , MAT 1230 , or an equivalent with a grade of "C-" or better, or an equivalent placement score. Periodocally
