AHS 2120 - Wellness for Life3 cr This course investigates the components involved in developing a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on the physical nature of wellness. Attention is principally devoted to the components of fitness to include cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility. In addition, an overview of dietary practices and nutrition, protecting oneself from disease including coronary heart disease, cancer, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS and making responsible decisions regarding controlled substances such as tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs will be covered. This course fulfills the Social and Behavioral Understanding Frame of Reference. Every semester
