AHS 4160 - ECG, Graded Exercise Testing and Prescription4 cr This course is designed as a practical study of current fitness testing protocols which are used in clinical and fitness settings. Emphasis is placed on the preparation, administration, and evaluation of fitness assessment and exercise prescription based on the guidelines of the American College of Sports Medicine. The laboratory component includes experience in the measurement and analysis of blood pressure, body composition, blood lactate and hemoglobin, oxygen consumption, and resting/exercise electrocardiography. Lecture and lab. Restrictions: Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Health Science Majors Only. Prerequisite: AHS 3150 Lab fee $40 Spring
