ART 2302 - Photography II3 cr This course is designed for the intermediate student working in film-based black and white photography, digital photography, or both. Prior knowledge of the digital camera and Photoshop are assumed for students who wish to work digitally. Technical control and artistic expression are emphasized as students develop their visual perception and awareness of photographic possibilities. Topics covered may include digital scanning and printing, studio lighting, introduction to medium- and large-format cameras and introduction to alternative processes. A 35mm camera with adjustable aperture and shutter speed or a digital camera (preferably a DSLR) is required for the course. Film and paper are not covered by the lab fee. This course counts towards the Aesthetic Understanding Frame of Reference. Prerequisite: ART 2301 or consent of instructor. May have studio fees. Spring
