BIO 1141 - Organisms and Adaptations I4 cr This introductory biology course for science majors presents fundamental biological concepts through the study of organisms. In the two semester introductory biology series, students learn about the relationship between form and function at the macroscopic and microscopic levels, the role of the environment and genetics in organismal adaptation, and basic cellular biology. In the first semester of the series, the focus is on evolution, ecology and animals. Prerequisite: One year of high school biology and chemistry or one semester of college level biology. Lab fee $40.
