Business Analytics Certificate


Business Analytics combines learning the disciplines of business, computer information systems, and statistics to analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and create meaning from raw data. The value of this higher-order thinking is inherent in the student's ability create new meaning. Business Analytics facilitates decision making amongst uncertainty and risk.

The Business Analytics certificate focuses on career paths in management, marketing, and accounting, including Quantitative Analysts (Investment, Fixed Income, Equity, and Derivate), Business Analyst (Financial, Fraud, Information, Cyber, and Marketing), and Business Analytics Consultant.

Students wishing to complete a Business Analytics certificate must complete four required courses and choose two electives from the list below. In addition, students are strongly encouraged to complete a minor in either Statistics or Computer Information Systems.

This program is designed to be completed in conjunction with an undergraduate degree or as a stand-alone program for personal and/or professional enrichment only.  Students pursuing this as a stand-alone certificate will not qualify for Title IV federal financial aid.
