The Accounting Minor (ACC) focuses on strengthening accounting knowledge across various industries. This specialization allows students to deepen their understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), United States Federal Income Taxes (IRS), and Management Accounting. Students will also connect the importance of financial and tax reporting directly to their chosen major. Taught by expert professors from the areas of accounting, audit, tax and management, this minor will complement a student's chosen major and provide essential skills to help them become leaders within their future career. This minor is available to all students except for those enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Accounting program.
Students will take the four required courses below and two electives from the remaining courses listed for a total of six courses.
