Anthropology Minor (ANT)

This minor focuses on the rich diversity of cultures both past and present through cross-cultural analyses and hands-on research. The minor explores anthropology from a wide variety of perspectives and topics including archeology, evolution, cultural geography, history, religion, music, environmental studies, and global studies. This minor will prepare students for graduate studies in anthropology, archaeology, and related fields and provide students with the skills necessary for careers in social research.

Take the foundational course in Anthropology (3 cr):

ANT 1010 - Introduction to Cultural Anthropology 3 cr

And take at least 2-- but no more than 3 --of these anthropology courses (6-9 cr):

ANT 2010 - Archaeology: Tracing the Human Past 3 cr
ANT 2210 - Anthropology and the Environment 3 cr
ANT 2710 - Selected Topics in Anthropology 3 cr
ANT 3210 - Anthropology of Food 3 cr
ANT 4910 - Independent Study 3 cr
