This course is an introduction to the physical therapy profession and its relationship to other health care fields. The roles of the physical therapist and physical therapist assistant will be discussed with an emphasis on their interaction and communication. The course includes a survey of conditions the PTA is likely to encounter and some of the procedures used to treat those conditions. This course serves as a foundation for all subsequent PTA courses.
